The Watershed Council has worked with Bridgeview Vineyard and Winery with multiple environmental and conservation projects. Because of the insight the company’s managers had into the Council during these projects, they felt compelled to give back.
From this generosity and interest in conservation, the Alevin Wine initiative was born. Bridgeview promised one dollar from every purchase of Alevin wine will be divided among the Illinois Valley Watershed Council, as well as a carefully chosen regional aquatic environmental cause.
Since the Council is run almost 100% with state grant funding from the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB), every contribution, no matter how small, helps get large environmental projects done.
